Hi everyone,
I’ve been using Symcon for a while now to manage my smart home setup, and I’m really happy with its flexibility. However, I’ve recently started experimenting with Home Assistant and was wondering if anyone here has successfully integrated the two platforms.
My goal is to use Symcon for more complex automation logic while leveraging Home Assistant’s broader device support and UI capabilities. Specifically, I’d like to:
- Share data between the two systems (e.g., sensor readings, switch states).
- Trigger actions in one platform based on events in the other.
- Maintain stability and responsiveness—I want to avoid excessive delays or unreliable communication.
I’ve looked into MQTT as a possible bridge, but I’m curious if there are better or more native integration methods that you’ve found effective. Are there any specific modules, scripts, or APIs that work well for this?
If you’ve tackled this kind of integration before, I’d love to hear about your experiences—what worked, what didn’t, and any best practices you’d recommend. Also, if you have any example scripts or setups you can share, that would be incredibly helpful!

Looking forward to your insights! Thanks in advance.
